The Republic of Korea, commonly known as South Korea, is a sovereign country in East Asia, located in the southern part of the Korean peninsula.  It limits to the north with North Korea, with which it integrated a single country until 1945.

South Korea is a country that is known for his culture of K-pop or Kdramas (Korean series or movies) It is a disciplined and respectful country, where there are a variety of rules that I would like the world to know or at least be informed before visit this beautiful country.

  • Taking off your shoes before entering a home or establishment is for education and above all for hygiene.

  • Bowing is one of the basic rules of South Korea, this shows gratitude and is done to show respect, the more you bow, the more respect is shown to the person.

  • Drinking in company, for Koreans means a symbol of unity and respect for the elderly.  Koreans almost never drink alone, even with a friend, family, although in this part it is more respectful.

  • Do not sit in the reserved seats, perhaps in Latin America it is not common that if there is nowhere to sit you take the reserved ones, but in Korea, it is very rude to sit in them without being disabled


  • Respect your elders, it is undoubtedly something that we practice all over the world, but from my perspective, Korea takes the medal, it is very common to hear Koreans speak with other terms to people older than them, simply out of respect, there are more actions within their culture that shows respect towards them.
